Jebedia (spoilers)

Does anyone else think it was appropriate to his character how, after manipulating his followers using their faith, then presumably targetting Belle to weaken the heroes (at least Martin), that even with after gaining "uber vampire" powers, Jebedia ultimately didn't last too long after he tried doing the dirty work himself?
