This is going to be one of the "Am I the only one that liked this movie" posts. I know it received less-than-stellar reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, and I know fans of the series were particularly critical of it, but I though it was a very exciting movie. Definite thumbs up.
shareI actually liked this movie and I usually don't like the young adult sci-fi/fantasy films (hated the only Twilight movie I saw, The Host was lame and the Hunger Games were a snooze fest) but this one was different. They kept the pacing up and the story moving along. It also greatly helped that I liked the characters. Usually the young adult movies are full of Millennial smart-asses who can't really act. Again, I Am Number Four is the exception.
shareI'm right there with you guys. I thought this was a solid movie. At the time, it had a much lower rating than it does now, and I was shocked by it. I didn't know there was a series, so that might have had a positive effect on my take on it. I think I would have liked it anyway though. Sometimes people just shit on things for sport, just to entertain themselves. I think "I Am Number Four" is a strong example of that.
shareI have yet to see this, but Alex Pettyfer seems to be an exception among his contemporaries, in that he is an assertive actor... i think that helps...
shareI'll admit that I only originally watched it because Timothy Olyphant was in it. Knew nothing of the story, but I enjoyed it. I caught it on AMC again last night and still enjoyed it.
