Just one question...

Might be a stupid question, maybe I'm just a bit slow but I was left wondering whether the kid was a ghost, the couples imagination, or whether the house was messing with their heads, or they had just smoked a little too much weed.

I assumed ghost, esp when she walked through him at one point. I wonder about the ending..

I really couldn't tell you. I think he was supposed to be a ghost, but the housesitter/boyfriend seemed to be turning into the couple that lived there before they (the homeowners) even died. And the kid being left at the store (which had nothing to do with his death) - were they just trying to tie it in with him being "abducted" by the boyfriend? Was the husband really having an affair with the housesitter? How did her brother see it (or was it a flashback/ghostly thing he saw)? What was up with the golf course?? And the husband took his wife to Italy to force her into a suicidal depression? When the end happened, I basically just said "um, what???" and turned it off.

Maybe the house itself was being "haunted" by the "happy family" that could have been. I feel like I'm expending too much energy trying to figure this film out, and it wasn't very good. I did give it a 5, though, because I kept watching until the end.
They're coming to get you, Barbara!
