First two days interesting....but then...ahhh...well... .yeah...

I thought the first two days of the series was interesting, but after awhile the stories basically ran together. Someone thought something was pretty or valuable and fought to save it - and mostly did save it. After two days... the pictures were pretty but - I started leafing through books - looking on the computer - etc...

After watching this series, I was amazed at how FEW of our National Parks I have actually visited. So my interest was kept throughout the entire run. Sure, there can be some gripes about it, but it made me want to actually plan a trip or three! I learned more than a thing or two as well....

Hmmm ... why do I think you might be the kind of person who would bring a gameboy to Yellowstone? A series like this has the ability to keep your interest if you truly value wilderness for itself; but if you're the kind who would miss all your tech and conveniences within a few hours of arriving in true wilderness (or worse, you brought it all with you in an RV -- ugh!), then I see why you might have been bored after a while. Which is a pity. It means you don't get the purpose of wilderness or yourself in it.
