Um what??
Can someone give an actual description of this movie? The one imdb has posted is so broad.

shareExactly my thought.... And what does Erin Brockovich has to do out it all?
shareis about this woman that gets breast cancer which
was passed on to her and sister via family DNA
and movie shows her struggle with disease and crappy husband
who ironically doesn't care for her later and also dies from cancer
over all depressive flick
It's actually an uplifting story and an important one too. The subject - the real Annie Parker - is warm, inspirational, funny and defiant against the odds. The story is important as well - thanks to Ms Parker and the research associated with her, two important genetic aspects that lead to a predilection for cancer were discovered and doubtless thousands of people's lives were improved - including Angelina Jollie's.
The problem is neither the story nor the cast - it's the direction. Heavy-handed, overly obvious and just plain incompetent. Such a shame - moments in the movie, most of them from Samantha Morton, are little gems, and the real Annie Parker's story should be told and absorbed by people everywhere - especially women. Instead, this exercise in behind-the-camera amateurism is likely to moulder in the vaults forever. Not even Netflix is interested, apparently.
