Will this gross more or less that Guardians of the Galaxy V3?

GGV3 budget is $250m, IJDD is $300m. GGV3 is #2 of 2023.
I gazed into my crystal ball and now know GGV3 makes a huge profit.

Firstly, Holy shit! Why does the movie have a budget of 300m? Did I miss something? Those are Endgame numbers, man!

Secondly, I honestly think it depends on good word of mouth. The critic reviews or Rotten Tomatoes scores aren't gonna matter, the word of mouth is either gonna make or break it imo.

In my opinion GotG Vol 3 was really helped with a great fan response (just like Mario Bros). The general consensus was, this is the best Marvel project in a couple of years

Forget about all the online discourse, "woke agenda" & shit, if it's a legit good/fun action adventure, it'll make a profit.

reply

The critics have not been kind to it.

reply

Yeah, I know. It's been all over my newsfeed.

The Internet has this "RT scores/critics reviews don't matter unless it's for a film/show I'm hating on, then let's shit on it" mentality. lol

But seriously though, the audience response is either gonna save or kill Indy

reply

Trade publications are reviewing it as dull.

reply

A dull adventure movie, huh? That blows.

Let's see if it's another case of "critics vs fans" or if the film just flat out sucks.

reply

I figure Indy Jones has had his day in the sun. Mainly his ride into the sunset way, way back in the summer of 89.

Guards for the win this go around.

reply

If all the spoilers I read are true, this should still make a billion dollars. Ford's last hurrah as Indy, while lackluster, should still put asses in seats. But with all they spent and marketed, is that even a profit for them???

reply

lol, Indy really needed that Guardians 850m box office
