common sense and GPS technology would crea a VERY SHORT film!!! STUPID!!

Why not pinpoint location using GPS? Or find my phone app? (Solid advise, i guess if you ever find yourself buried in a coffin or cast for a movie as stupid as this one). Not to mention, the FBI should have the technology to find any active cell phone. StUpiD movie.. Had to stop watching after 30 minutes of regret as I will never recover that wasted time!!!!

GPS doesn't work underground, even a couple feet below dirt. It would likely have trouble locking onto a signal even if the coffin was above ground, depending on the thickness of the coffin. You think the old Blackberry he had in the movie supports a Find My Phone app??
What technology are you referring to that you think the FBI has? Carrier signal triangulation may work in the US, but he was buried in a foreign country with a foreign carrier. the FBI can't lock onto their signal until they negotiate with that country.

You may have missed the conversation he had with the man at the organisation in Iraq the FBI put him into. He said they couldn't trace his signal via GPS as it was routed elsewhere.

Find my phone is an iPhone feature, he was using a Blackberry in a foreign country.

Also, even if you triangulate where a cell phone is, that still gives you a several mile radius, it isn't some magic X on a map.

It sounds like you just don't have any idea how the technology works and are frustrated by your own stupidity.

Correct me if I'm wrong but we had contractors in Iraq back before that technology. I thought and assumed the movie was happening around 2005

"Also, even if you triangulate where a cell phone is, that still gives you a several mile radius!"

Lol. Yeah...if the cell phone you have is from 2005. Most cell phones these days can put you within 5 meters of a person or location. Get with the times, dickhead!
