Kate Bosworth talking about Kerouac and the Big Sur movie adaptation

A short video reuploaded to YouTube—the original video on the MTV site unfortunately could only be watched in the US. Enjoy.

Kate Bosworth has no idea what she is talking about... she claims Big Sur was Kerouac's last novel? Wrong. I was looking forward to her performance, but she clearly needs to Understand the material, and Kerouac himself, before tackling this project.

Seems to me that she just got her dates mixed up. Not really a big deal. So what, just because of that you're not going to watch the movie? You need to get a grip. If she really did have any idea of what she was talking about, I don't think she would have pointed out that his heavy drinking was a cause of his death.

I know Google is my friend but how did he die? How old? This film is eluding to some kind of chemical and mental meltdown.

I think my last post had a typo because as a matter of fact, NNDB says he died of liver failure, which can happen if one drinks too much. Wikipedia says he died of "an internal hemorrhage (bleeding esophageal varices) caused by cirrhosis, the result of a lifetime of heavy drinking, along with complications from an untreated hernia and a bar fight he had been involved in several weeks prior to his death." He was 47. I'm a little fuzzy on this entire conversation though right now. I haven't looked at this thread in almost a year.
