Queen blantly ignores Tom reaching for vile?

This supreme being that has mind control, telepahy powers, that is far more powerful than all the overlords and can cross galaxies at a time is depicted as a completely moronic and ignorant creature.

The queen could have killed Tom through so many ways, including physical, telepathic, telekinesis etc.. yet it did no damage to him? When she stuck her needle into his chest why didnt it destroy Tom's chest? Alien matter entering his blood stream didnt affect him? How was Tom able to move freely when he was in her webbing?

Also how stupid does the audience have to be to believe that the queen ignored Tom reaching for a vile? The QUEEN WAS RIGHT THERE no way, no way! How can you expect us to buy that?

And the queen just explodes, just like that? Anticlimatic? And all the creatures die? That's it? WOW!! Just wow.

Okay fine I believe the Queen wanted to toy with him.

But the vile was right there, how can the queen not see it? IT was RIGHT THERE! Her back wasnt even turned, she can read his mind, she is the most powerful being in the universe! VILE WAS RIGHT THERE!

You are right, the whole finale was painful to watch, but this was hilarious.

She probably was just thinking " Man. He really wants that dildo.", not thinking it was actually a super weapon.

reply

Perhaps she thought it was a glow stick. It was pretty dark after all.

The arrogance of conquerors is notorious throughout the ages.

They either are paranoid and believe everyone wants to get them,
or they believe they are immortal. The immortal ones ignore the dangers
around them because they believe they can overcome anyone or anything.

The whole scene didn't make sense much like all of season 5. Tom reaching for the alien tube thing without the queen noticing was the most stupidest thing ever. it was right in her plain view. i would understand if the tube was placed somewhere a bit hidden from her view but it was there open in plain freaking sight!!

reply

Yup, it wouldn't have been half that bad if the dildo had been in his pocket and he was trying for a while to move his arms to get it out.

What also amazed me was that Weaver decided to "carry on with the mission" and left Tom to find a different exit. For all they knew, he was trapped in the tunnel or might have to dig himself out. TOM HAD THEIR ONLY WEAPON. A very small weapon. One that could have been passed to the group NOT TRAPPED through the rubble. What exactly did Weaver think their mission was? Certainly not "use this one weapon we have against the queen", because they were one weapon short of being able to do that.

But but but TOM MASON was supposed to single-handedly safe the planet - AGAIN. Him and ONLY him. Did you not pay attention for 5 seasons and miss this essential law of the show? ;-) It has to be Tom Mason, no one else. It would have been completely illogical if anyone else had faced the final villain, the Queen.

reply

Sorry. Tom and family reached vile back in series two/three.

reply

Goddammit, it's VIAL. Vile is an adjective, not a noun.

I could have excused a few misuses, but to repeatedly yell the mistake is moronic.

Yep. She shoulda read the Evil Overlord List: http://www.eviloverlord.com/lists/overlord.html

P.S. It's "vial", not "vile".

reply

vial

reply

That's what you get for monologuing.

reply

unless you are Tom Mason. He is just such an insufferable Wesley...

reply

That is totally what I was thinking too. Why does the queen disappear and come back? It's almost like she wanted him to grab it. This show sucked from the beginning but because I like sci fi and alien *beep* I stuck with it. Horrible writing and annoying characters. The finale was just plain stupid.

reply

It's "vial". If you are going to repeat the word over and over again, learn how to spell it.

Due to the lack of moderators, trolls can ruin the IMDB message boards. Don't feed them.

reply

That is exactly correct! It's totally VILE how he uses it! 

reply

She thought it is a flashlight to help him see her better.

reply

Without some concessions in the narrative Tom could not have succeeded in that scenario with the queen.

She may have been highly confident about her situation and wasn't interested in the vial that Tom was trying to reach. Alternatively, she was interested in the vial and the "webbing" was designed to keeped him fixed to one point and unable to use any weapons against her including any suspicious "biotechnological weapons" such as the vial. It seems that she was restless and preoccupied with wanting to "feed on blood", and Tom's presence catered for that as well as affording an opportunity for her to belittle the leader of the human resistance. The vial sensed the biological bridge formed by the queen's feeding probe contact and penetration of Tom's body and was able to move to Tom and use his blood stream as a conduit to send it's arsenal to the queen to destroy her.

The Queen dies and every single alien dies LOL

The simple fact that Tom gets to face the queen one on one and actually kills her LOL

An extinct species brings dead people back to life... Tom, Lexi, Anne... LOL

Pope's appearance in the finale... LOL

She was the last of her species.
