Oh, come ON!

While I can accept that the female officer, along with SOME colleagues, might never have heard of the Dahlia/Short case, it's simply unfeasable that NOBODY on the squad would be familiar with the most famous unsolved murder on earth, bar Jack The Ripper. The older guys on the force certainly would have and with all the true crime available on sat/cable these days,,, hard to believe that NONE of these cops, SOCOs and medics don't watch it. THEN, a senior crime reporter at a national newspaper gets a 'crank' letter about a Dahlia and Elizabeth Short and it rings no bells? Makes you wonder if their music reviewers have heard of Elvis or Beethoven. I couldn't suspend that much disbelief so I've switched it off.
