Having watched a lot of the lovely music videos on Hatter and Alice, I am wondering if their first real hug was the one in the casino when Alice sees that Hatter is still alive. I don't count the one where he catches her after she jumps from the table to safety. I think the one in the casino proved that she really did care about Hatter after all. He must have been much on her mind after all he'd done for her.

I think it was. Isn't that the part where he comments on how good it feels to finally do that? Which, really, made him so adorable to me.
Why settle with words what you can settle with a flamethrower?
That's it. I think he says..."Oh, that feels so good." I loved the fact that he said, "We need to save this till we're safe"........and then in the field where he says, "I don't suppose I can get that hug now." That's what made the final hug so special when he says, "Finally!" Great movie ending.
