I don't like the fact that...

I have only seen the 1st and 2nd episode,

What I liked in the 1st episode is that they were unable to change the future something that is somehow "scientifically" correct in the sense that there is no time and only the perception of time for us humans, so it just already happened, you can't change it.

I didn't like the obvious for a tv series easy route that everything will be fine at the end.

Unfortunately IMO that doesn't happen in the 2nd episode. The director manages it well though. I was sure that the sergeant will die. Yes there is this "multiple universes" theory but I don't like it much. And because of the dark and hopeless tone of the series I think they could get away with the same recipe.

Now they got you to think who sends these images. Is it God or aliens or..? Now the images have a purpose. [edit]And makes you think "OK you get these tragic images to prevent something that is a "low range" event. If that someone wanted to help why not help them to achieve a bigger or global goal?

Anyway I'm gonna watch the remaining 3 episodes.
