Truly Awful.......
I wasn't expecting too much after reading a few things about this b4 watching, good job really. 20 mins was all I could take before I turned it off. Bad acting,badly cast, poor story, poorly shot, it was just awful......
shareI think the acting is just fine, the story is interesting if not incredibly original... the casting seems about right too. The only thing I can agree with you on is the "poorly shot" part. the camera work here is pretty bad. It's obvious that they were going for a more amateurish documentary-like feel... but I think they missed. Anyway the movie is worth a watch. it's entertaining.
**EDIT** - I posted the above about 20 minutes into the movie. I turned it off after another 40. It wasn't the worst ever... just not interesting enough for me to finish.
The whole premiss that the film involved a docu being shot within the movie just so didn't work it just ruined it even more. If anything Danny Dyer who I am normally a fan of should have been cast in the other leading role.... his dialogue was seriously lame, you could see he was trying to do his best with it but the script just sucked. You might think I should have watched the whole movie to make comment on any of this and in general if I think a film is pretty poor I do try and stick it out but I am a pretty good judge of a film after the first 20-30 mins or so and there has been extremely few I have turned off/walked out of cinema b4 the end and nothing about this film wanted me to keep watching after 20 mins.
This is the last post I am making for this as don't want to waste any more of my time on it.

Yeah just plain awful, it deserved the 205 pound it made.
shareI watched this last night but I neve read any reviews before I seen it so went in without any preconceptions. I felt the story was quite poor, nothing that exciting although CAvanagh had a decent performance in the leading role and was quite believable as a pimp.
Overall I gave it a 5 but it did barely keep my interest for the most part. Dyer was more of a comedy villain, his dialogue was terrible. He really needs to stop making turkeys!

I'm 21 minutes in at the moment. I'm going to persevere but it's a bit of a drag. I recorded this on Bravo because I thought it was a real documentary but the guy's acting right at the beginning told me that it was made up. He isn't a good enough actor to make it believable.
This film was released in May and within 6 months it was on Bravo. Which is never the sign of a good film.
