a great example of what is wrong with the film and tv industry nowadays

Dear fellow forum users

Rex is a great example of what is wrong with the film and tv industry nowadays!

I admit that some of the dialogue was funny. But all in all I just sat there for half an hour wondering who was mocking who?

Once there was a time when the film industry gathered in one place called Hollywood to unite ideas and talent.
This helped the production because many different ideas from different countries and cultures came together.

Nowadays we have a lot of unemployed people at that very same place who dream of becoming famous without ever having one original idea.

All those people just think of one thing all day: How do I become famous?

And then there are those people who realize this situation and reflect it by writting stories about that very subject.

Pause for one second and make a list how many books, films, tv-series and documentaries you have seen about people who want to become famous.

We have reached a point where this self reflecting tendency of wannabe-famous people living at the former place of glory just has become boring.

The challenge for new and old filmmakers is to find new topics or to look at old ones from unique different angles.

Stop sitting around waiting in that former place of glory. Travel the world, look at different countries.

There you will find what is missing nowadays:

Education and Culture.

Dear Writer of Rex
Africa is a continent. It is not a country. You could at least have Miss Hilton say that she is on safari in Kenya. Seriously, don’t say now that it was all part of the mockumentary and I am to blame that I did not get that point.
