choice of training locations (SPOILERS)

The whole premise of the film is that, through a huge coincidence, a swat team is assigned to train at the same place as some organized crime meeting.

At the end of the film, "Kenny" says he was secretly working for the fbi the whole time, and the swat team messed up his undercover operation by stopping the bad guys.

Assuming Kenny had a reason not to tell the swat team who he was while everything was going on... which I'm skeptical of...

Wouldn't the fbi know that Kenny would be in the warehouse? Why would they send the swat team to train at the same place Kenny's operation was happening?

All the plot you need is that The Warriors have to "bop their way back to Coney." —alanmc1uk

maybe Kenny didn't know till the last minute and he did not want to risk blowing his cover by contacting and telling the FBI? Or it could have been a bureaucracy thing where one unit does not know what the other is up to at the time.

Or he could have been lying the whole time. He didn't seem the trustworthy type.

The FBI would probably know that, but that has nothing to do with LAPD or SWAT. FBI did not send the SWAT team to train there. This was done by their chief in the LAPD.

It is commonly known that a lot of government agencies aren't always too friendly with eachother, not matter which country, so even if FBI had a reason to inform the LAPD about their operation, they wouldn't risk it.
