Same terrible time loop as part 1?

I never figured out the first game. It seemed like you had an hour or two to play the game, then it would automatically restart. I didn't have an HD tv at the time thus couldn't read any of the mission text, so couldn't really progress. So I just ran around and killed lots of zombies. Then the game would reboot and I got to start all over again.

The wiki page for part 2 says it will have the same time mechanic. I'd though they had enough feedback from players who hated this aspect to leave it out of the sequel. Evidently I was wrong. Hopefully this information won't be accurate, but the trailers I've watched seem to have timers.

Maybe that's the whole mechanic of Dead Rising?

Some people just couldn't manage their time properly.

Time is the whole concept of both games, why would they want to remove it..?

Let's get this party started. Sh!t's gonna get real.

Because a lot of people just want to kill all the zombies without being forced to do missions. Doing missions should be optional.

The missions are optional.

In the first game, if you didn't want to do the missions you just ignored everything and let the time ran out then when the screen comes up about the "Truth has vanished into Darkness" you just go to the option that says "return to the game" or something and you can continue but without having to do anything but kill the zombies.

There's actually a glitch for that too. When you first start the game and are in the mall for the first time when the zombies first break in, if you just stay in there killing zombies for a certain amount of time (not sure when it is exactly) and then go to the stairs, you start everything as normal but then if you leave through the warehouse it brings on the scene with the Queen which cancels out Jessie giving you the gun and asking you to help Brad, so you just start the game without having to do anything.

Sometimes I don't read the ends of posts because I assume they're signatures.

Really? I never knew. I only played the first one for about an hour or two and got frustrated. I couldn't get past that sniper guy so I gave up. I LOVED killing the zombies though! I didn't care for getting swarmed though, gave me chills. I might just pick up a copy at amazon. thanks!

This is the biggest flaw in the whole series. It causes frustration to say the least. This kind of game, for it to be good and fun and give you the immersion feeling, it needs to lose the damn time limit to the game play. REALLY, IT DOES. This is what makes the game series crappy. if it was free roam and no time limit then this would be heaven in gaming form. Instead it's like a tease and nothing else. No one likes a tease!. They want the whole thing.

I would put up with the whole dire leveling up and poor combat and crap save system and all that. I just want rid of the *beep* bastard time limit!. Get rid of this and the game series will sell more. IT WILL. The time limit is what puts a lot of gamers off from purchasing this game and any others in the series. This series will NEVER sell more than a couple of million at most. Not as long as it holds onto the time limit.

GET RID OF THE DAMN TIME LIMIT!. Time limits are for arcade games and racing titles. Not zombie games.
