Murder??
I don't get why they used the term "murder". Most anyone would say "kill". Maybe this is the way it's said down under but it's kinda stupid.

shareVery common for a religious pacifist to use the term.
The closest word in modern English to what was used in the original 10 commandments was "murder" to kill someone with out reason, Murder was not the same as an accident or carelessness, and Judicial killing or Killing in time of war was not a crime at all.
Modern people forget the difference
All that said at the time murder was punishable by various ways from Death to servitude to the dead person family or being bound to support his dependents (Including takes his wife and children as your own) or 30 pieces of silver.
Very true.
Pacifists point to Christ telling his disciples to "stand down" when He was arrested, forgetting that for obvious reasons the arrest had to happen.
In the very same chapter he tells them to sell their garments in order to buy swords.
"... and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one." - Luke 22:36
Why would a pacifist need a sword?
If you are a follower of Jesus Christ and are 100% proud of it, put this in your sig.
The thing is Jesus was an idiot. He should have used his Jesus powers. Certainly beats getting yourself crucified because God had a hissy fit over an apple.
shareWait. What am I supposed to put in my sig?
