Definitely worth a watch for Spaghetti Western fans

The film is a modern Chinese remix of Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Westerns, Mad Max and a massive dose of dialogue with a slice of Tarantino. Despite the tampering due to Chinese censorship the movie still mostly succeeds. If you enjoy the aforementioned director's work I think there is a lot for you to appreciate.

I've seen a few scathing reviews on IMDb and on some 'amateur' critic websites. It appears the point of the movie is somewhat lost on the, and to give this 1/10 or 1/5 means they have not seen truly poor movies. Some have criticised the lead character for being unlikable and therefore impossible to sympathise with. Critics who say this seemed to have missed how the main character develops through the movie and does become someone you can root behind.

Don't let the naysayers put you off and give this movie a go, especially if you like genre movies.
