Is this movie about Robin (from Batman and Robin)

I'm sure this is a stupid question but is this movie about Robin from Batman and Robin? I noticed it has Zulay Henao in it. She is beautiful!

Doesn't seem like it is, but this would make Robin a semi respectable sidekick instead of a trapeeze artist that says "Holy Whatever!"

Actually, it is. It is about the origins of Robin as Dick Grayson but is not directly tied into Nolan's trilogy.

No, this movie is in no way connected to Batman / Robin or DC. But it's very close to the Batman origin story. You might see it as a Batman-inspired, more realistic story - but that's it...

This kid woulda made a respectable Robin. However he would never be on the same page as Batman because batman has a strict rule of no killing.

This would depend upon which Batman you are watching/reading. The Dark Knight Batman had no qualms whatsoever about dropping bad guys of the roofs of very tall buildings, etc.

If you are a purist Batman fan and only love the original Batman, then... yeah... Batman was strictly a 'toss 'em in jail but don't kill 'em' kind of hero.

It's entirely possible that I am missing the point of your message.
