Feel good movie...

Lovely movie screened by our Virginia Film Club...another classic Gerard D. film who makes look oh so easy. Go see this one!

A lovely movie. No CGI and a real story. What a pity there aren't more like this.

Could not agree more! if we had more movies like this we'd have less crime, less abuse of the elderly, more understanding of the contribution of our seniors to our lives and many many more good things in the world - rather than all the evil Tarantino movies spread poisoning the soul of our young.

reply

Yes, it is good, and totally different. They should show movies like this to young adults in school just so they know that not every movie has to be a slick Hollywood garbage remake or sequel.

Wasn't it enchanting? I can't understand why it only has a rating of 7.1! Perhaps in time it will be discovered...

Darlin', don't ever take a Southern woman for granted!

7.1 is an excellent rating!! It is very rare for a film to get an 8 or above that mark. Anything 7.0 can be considered outstanding by the majority of IMDb posters (remember it's "evened" out so if someone gives a film a low rating - and there are always people who do - it brings down the ratings of other people who gave it a 10 or so.)

The narrative offers a rich mixture of character-driven stories, which I feel lets audiences undertake a self-reflection of themselves in how to approach life.

I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not.
