Does anyone else find this show depressing at times?

I have only recently started to watch this show. I will admit it does hold my attention. It's almost unbelievable the things that can be going on inside a person's body.

In just the short time I have watched this show, 3 young people have died. One was a teenager who they finally discovered she had died of rabies, another teenager who died of some brain infection from water that had gone in her nose, and a 7 year old boy who also died from a brain infection which he caught (I believe) from a lake that he swam in during a vacation the family took. I understand that once an infection attacks the brain, there is very little that can be done.

Other semi depressing episodes involving children was the 2 year old girl that got some type of meningitis(?). She had to get some amputations done (but has adjusted very well) and a baby (I forget what he had) who is now a young child, but was left mentally handicapped (although it was mentioned that he has gone further than they expected.).

So like my subject says, does anyone else find this show depressing at times?
