WTF Exorcisms on 'Monsters Inside Me'?

Not sure which ep you are referring to, however:
1 possible explanation: some of the stories featured talk about parasites that manage to make it into the brain. Before our better understanding of these conditions (and others including mental illnesses like schizophrenia, and epilepsy) many people looked to religion and were convinced that the affected person was "possessed." The only way they knew of how to treat the condition was to "exorcize" the possessing demon, not knowing that it was a biological condition.


That's just my two cents. Take it or leave it. IMHO

The mind is a strange thing. Why do some people wish others Good Luck? Do we think wishing is going to help? Yea, some people do.
I can't believe exorcism is a real thing, but it happens and even non believers think it could help some cases.
