This was her sharp criticism of K's resolution to die without telling Cream, which we are meant to see as selfless, when in fact, quite the opposite is true. It's selfish, because he never considered Cream's fellings on the matter And as Jenna points out, it's dishonest.

And the same went for Cream, as she did find out about K's condition. Their choice to stay silent was suffering that was self-inflicted.

Consequently, the only scene that got me in this movie was the vision of K riding off in the car with Cream's family. Because that represented sufferning that was out of anyone's control and had nothing to do with choice.
