This is a remake or retelling of the original movie

CJ7 the cartoon is exactly that....a cartoon remake/retelling of CJ7 the movie. Chow wanted to remake the movie for a wider audience and decided that animation was the best way to make it the way he wanted it to be. There is atleast one small change that has been added that I noticed but it's basically the same story animated.

Why not make a sequel? It's the same exact story. I thought the original film was already for a wide audience.
What's the point?
