I like them both, and would prefer a movie called "Dinocroc And Supergator" where they are friends and team up and do things. I'm actually watching the film right now, so I'm not sure if it actually happens.
share I'll let you know after I see whether or not Syfy Channel shows a re-run of this at one in the morning. I've noticed that the absence of such a re-run, in general (two hours after premiering 9-11 PM, on Saturday night) usually doesn't bode well for the potential cult-classic quality of the hypothetical film in question.
English translation: it must've sucked BIG TIME!
In this case, Syfy has three hours and seven minutes to prove me wrong.

share Well, they proved me wrong. And, I must confess. For a Roger Corman TV-movie, this had more plot development--and less gratuitous sex and violence--than usual. A delightfully refreshing change of pace.

P.S.---given the height advantage, Dinocroc's victory was really never in doubt. I did enjoy the twist ending, though! Makes me wonder who Junior is going to take on, when he grows up. King Cobra? Komodo Rex? The tag-team of Boa and Python?

I am die hard dinocroc favoritist for life.
Mainly b/c he is taller so duh we has some advantages. Also He has a better body. Why would you want to be short and wide when you could be tall and lean. So... that explains that. Also I liked the movie dinocroc better than supergator.. when dinocroc walks he looks like a bunny rabbit..he sort of...hops or something and has these funny cute little arms.
I preferred the Dinocroc movie as well. The Supergator movie kinda bored me. Plus Supergator itself just looks boring IMO.
shareI prefer Dinocroc because the CGI animators evidently took their inspiration from a real-life dinosaur; Suchomimus. And, such real-life paleontology is nicely refreshing for a Roger Corman eco-thriller!
shareI personally liked the Supergator better. Out of all three movies, (Dinocroc, Supergator, Dinocroc vs Supergator) Supergator had the biggest fun and camp factor for me. Too bad the creatures' appearances were marred by the awful CGI in this movie; they looked much better their original films, both of which were easily twice as good as this one. That's what happens when Jim Wynorski directs a film, folks.
