That was the funniest scene in the whole movie, made me laugh out really loud.

Never thought I'd hear Mastodon in a childrens film. Best scene in the movie.

Pixar movies aren't "children's films", though. Pixar goes to great lengths to make movies that will appeal to ALL ages, not just to kids. In fact, that particular scene more or less went right over the heads of the children in the theater the five times I saw it in the theater. Few of them laughed at it, but the adults thought it was hilarious. The adults also got a big laugh out of the scene where Sheri Squibbles interrupted the serious fraternity initiation by casually doing the laundry, complete with sneakers in a clothes dryer, while her son just stared, dumb-struck by the whole thing. Adults got laughs at little details like the elderly monster with the walker(complete with tennis balls on the ends)slowly making his/her way down the sidewalk, but again, the kids paid no notice to that. The kids got the biggest laughs out of things like Mike falling on the treadmill and the disco ball dropping to the floor in the OK's living room, more "slap-stick" stuff.

I agree, it was so unexpected and out of the blue that it made me spit my drink out. Best scene by far lmfao

Yes that was awesome! I loved the mother character. She was also hilarious during the initiation scene where she's doing the laundry. I actually think a lot of moments are funny in the film cause they're unexpected, like when Art yells "I can't go back to jail!" That entire scene at the Monster's Inc building is pretty funny to me.

That's one of the funniest and most awesome things Pixar has ever done. Good Mastodon song, too.
