NOT ZOMBIES!

A zombie is the body of a dead person given the semblance of life...
At no point do the INFECTED people in this film DIE so they are NOT zombies, just like 28 Weeks Later, fun flix, but NOT zombie apocalypse films! The End!

I know pal. But try telling that to the sheep out there. The first instance where they see a killer who is infected with something they shout ZOMBIE and that is it. The killers in this movie are just infected people like The Infected in 28 Days Later and The Crazies. In a small series that's on Youtube called "Bite Me" it has 5 parts so far. They are arguing in one of the first episodes during the zombie outbreak. And one of them says something about 28 Days Later and other movies "zombie related" and then bad mouths the guy who says Evil Dead is a zombie movie. They say he needs to know what makes a zombie movie before speaking. I'd say the same about those john blunts as they think The Infected from 28DL are zombies when they are *beep* all like zombies. And never will be. IDIOTS!.

Well no disrespect intended, but the people who claim that their not zombies, do not have the right to make that call for everybody. When the word 'zombie' was first devised, the definition wasn't even close to the typical Romero archetype. In essence, the word isn't strictly regulated to a walking corpse.

So what exactly is it that you think turns a corpse into a "Romero type zombie?" It is either an infection or possession. So I fail to see the difference here. Infected murderous flesh consuming zombies are the same in night of the living dead and 28 days later. They are all infected with something, and they are all drawn to kill by tearing flesh from living people. Plus, I didn't see a doctor walk up to every person that got bit in this movie and proclaim they were still alive so it couldn't be the living dead. Every person in this movie could have died for a second or two before they turned into mindless killers. Not to mention the fact that the term "zombie" has been around a lot longer than Romero and hasnt always been about the dead coming to life. Just becaus you prefer to think of it one way, doesn't make everyone else wrong.

I think zombi refers to the spirit and not the actual animated corpse. The undead were never called zombies in NOTLD, the fans called them that. I think 'revenants' would be the more fitting word to describe the creatures.

Romero partly got his inspiration from Ishtar's decent into the underworld:

'I will bring up the dead to eat the living.
And the dead will outnumber the living.'

"At no point do the INFECTED people in this film DIE so they are NOT zombies"

I guess some just trying to update the genre to something more believable. The Haitian monsters were said to be animated corpses in their homeland, but westerners suspected they were just drugged humans.

ok, so whos to say that these "infected" people are not, in fact, dead.
no one ever checked any pulses for any thing, did they??? you are saying
that these people did not die, where is you proof. even if there was a
vacine, and it cured some of them, it still doesnt prove that they got
infected, then died, then got a cure, then their brain switched on.
brain death is being dead. and dont get me started on heart pumping.
if they are reanimated dead, that means that all their organs would also
reanimate. even blood cells could reanimate. you think cause it doesnt
show them actually laying down and going all still, then getting back up,
in a traditional way, and now they have died, and are "zombie"??

death can happen slow or fast. point is, you dont get to
decide.
