OMG WILLIAM AND RICHARD ARE HOT!!!

Good thing I read the book first because I know how evil William is but goodness did anybody else find him goodlooking in the series? Minus all that weird incestous relationship. . .

And Richard had a Henry Cavill appeal. <3 <3

Who do you think is the hottest in the cast?

I read the book AFTER I watched TPOTE and I agree, that William was a terribly loathsome villain.
He was good looking in the series as it was written in the book - William was a tall, blonde (well, here rather red headed, but ok), muscular and handsome man. So, almost everything is correct.
I just wish they dyed David Oakes' hair blonde instead of auburn, because as Jack, king Stephen and William all had red hair, it got a bit tiresome.
Answering your question, the hottest one in the cast in my opinion is David Oakes.
I wish him a spectacular success and many great roles.

I agree Rhino. Rufus Sewell has never looked better. Jack was pretty as pie (and my favorite, barely). And SortaEvilWilliam and Richard were studly. Alfred I couldn't take seriously, but he had the most beautiful eyes. All in all a lot to look at.

I do have to agree that Rufus Sewell is so sexy in this, especially with peasant clothes.

Rufus Sewell was looking damn good in this. He looked different since the last time I saw him.. he's filled out, gotten older, unshaven... very hot.

And I love David Oakes to bits, he plays an evil, sexy villain amazingly well.

reply

Yes Rufus is indeed looking smokin hot in this....as I've only seen 2 eps so far. i am hoping that we see more sex scences from him !!!!!!!!lol, he needs to show that hot body off more i feel....but one thing that annoys me with the character that he plays Tom..is his accent? whats up with that...but this show is defintely growing on me.

reply

The fact that William was so hot was kind of disturbing, considering how evil the character was... Quite a Ted Bundy feel haha

The hottest of them ALL?! Richard, of course. Even if he lacked an ear. :P

reply

Yes, I did find William attractive, which was disturbed me. I sympathised with him because I could see he was abused long term by his mother, which would *beep* anybody up, and he was a terribly tortured soul that only death would bring peace to. I don't know if the actor intended him to be sympathetic, or he just couldn't quite pull off despicable villain!

reply

David Oakes is just too charismatic to play a totally unlikable character, I think. You should see him in The Borgias! He's really entertaining.

Yes, there was lots of male pulchritude in this. Tony Curran as King Stephen was hot, also.

In developing this story as a movie for today's audiences, one of the best choices was to portray William as a tortured soul. Yes, it's clear that he was evil but it's also clear that he was driven to insanity by his mother. It adds a delicious Shakespearean dimension to the story.

Oh yes David Oakes is seriously Hot in this, as well as the Borgias and the White Queen, William Hamleigh, Juan Borgia and George Duke Of Clarence are not only superbly acted, complex and interesting but are also the hottest characters bar none, too bad they are supposed to be "Villains" and alas do not get to live, its a shame as I'd love to see David actually get to survive the series LOL!, for he'd also make for a very sexy hero.

Just because I have no one to be loyal to, it doesn't mean I don't know what loyalty is.

reply

The guy playing Richard was surely the most attractive male of the cast, after Rufus Sewell.
William isn't bad, either.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
