OT: HBO should adapt Ken Follett's 'The Century Trilogy'
Since Game of Thrones will end at 2018 with its eight season, I think Ken Follett's Century Trilogy(Fall of Giants, Winter of the World and Edge of Eternity, which will be out next year) will be a great successor to the show, because of its characters and its epic scope, covering the five families and its struggles against the backdrop of World War I. Maybe it could have like 6 seasons, with 10 episodes(GOT Format), 2 seasons each per book:
Season 1: Fall of Giants part 1
Season 2: Fall of Giants Part 2
Season 3: Winter of the World part 1
Season 4: Winter of the World part 2
Season 5: Edge of Eternity part 1
Season 6: Edge of Eternity part 2
Starring Cast:
- Grigoriy Dobrygin (Grigoriy Peshkov)
- Emilia Clarke(Maud Fitzherbert)
- Volker Bruch (Walter Von Ulrich)
- Perdita Weeks(Ethel Williams)
- Aaron Tveit(Gus Dewar)
- Michiel Huisman(Lev Peshkov)
- Lee Pace(Earl Fitzherbert)
- Richard Madden (Billy Williams)
- Harry Lloyd(Bernie Leckwith)
- Svetlana Khodchenkova (Princess Bea)
- Martin Wuttke (Otto Von Ulrich)
