What bugged me was that the subtitles kept saying 'lichenthrope.'

The official spelling is "lycanthrope;" it's not copyrighted. Especially since they provide the etymology of lichen to mean wolf. Lycan come from lykos which means wolf; lichen mean what eats around itself.
