Wow, this was actually....

...worse than i thought.

i actually thought this was be good with the whole werewolves vs. vampires thing but near the end it fell down hill. they could bearly fight the vampires when they werewolves (what was that about? that should be the best time to take out a vamp), the brother yelling out things like "SHE'S A VAMPIRE!", "JORDAN'S A WEREWOLF!", and "THATS THE GUY IN CLOAK!" got old (and the "mom wouldve believed me" line made me go "would she really?"), and his 2 friends got annoying quick

i mean i see what they were trying to do but it sorta played out wrong. it wasnt horribley bad, just not as good as it couldve been. and why was the brother the only one out of three to have the werewolf blood? what about dad? and how did Patricia survive explode? why was she the only vampire to survive? some things didnt make sense

I agree with 90% of what you have said however I can offer an answer to one of your questions without starting some big argument.

You were wondering why didn't the dad have the blood line, they said that it was there Mom's great Uncle. So therefore the bloodline come from there mom's side of the family and there dad wouldn't have it since his family is a different bloodline.

Meh, you're probably just too old for this type of stuff.

These werewolves were a hell of alot better (& more intimidating) than those pussy Wolf packs on True Blood. Can you believe that? A Kids movie did Werewolves BETTER than HBO. Nick went old-school, - "An American Werewolf in London style."

well if you must know, i'm 18. what someone older than me be doing watching this movie?

i agree with everyone, the vampires and werewolves in this DEFINITELY looked cooler than Twilight's and True Blood's (and i'm a TB fan) but what killed it for me were the lame fight scenes

I'm nearly 60, and this is my second viewing. All of my friends have watched it, too, and all of them are 50+. Don't sell this movie so cheaply! It's cute and decently acted (not as overboard as most kids' stuff), and the production values are impressive. I love the homages to Universal's monster movies and to "Young Frankenstein", which itself is a homage to Universal's films. Brooke Shields steals the movie from everyone! I like the mix of cliches with a slight twist though I recall guessing the real estate agent's secret soon after she was introduced. That didn't mean I couldn't enjoy it, as it made me think of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".

By the way: I think it would have worked as well if the father had died instead. They could have made the agent male.

However, they should have used another title because this has little to do with the original, released in 1973. Maybe it will trick some fans of the first to tune in though they might be peeved about the switch.

I totally agree with what you said. i have seen young Frankenstein many times so it was nice to see them play homage to it with lines and scenes from the movie. i wish they would make a sequel.
