RJ Berger = Teen Wolf

When I first watched THTORJB, I liked it because despite being set in the present, it had a distinct 80s vibe, although I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Then it hit me. This show is pretty much a tweaked Teen Wolf (not in a bad way, though)

Scott = RJ: Quiet young men who both lust over the hottest chick in school. Both has a hidden talent that gets revealed to everybody on the basketball court.

Stiles = Miles: Best friends of the aforementioned who seek to gain from their buddy's special talent, although Stiles is less self-serving and he was already somewhat popular, whereas Miles is simply crude and obnoxious. Oh, and their names rhyme.

Boof = Lily: Both have an requited crush on our hero. Both are a bit creepy.

Pam = Jenny: The objects of the protagonists' lust who both happen to be dating thuggish basketball players. They don't really have much in common beoynd that, though, as Pam is a complete bitch.

Mick = Max: Both cling jealously to their girlfriends, and use degrading nicknames for the hero, even though they clearly envy his special attribute.

Coach Finstock = Coach Sinclair: Both coaches are pretty low individuals and give out crappy advice to the main character.
