Initial observations

I just started watching this show on Amazon and here are my first observations:

1. In the first 4 episodes, 7 of 8 of these kids don't have a dad. That speaks volumes about how important dads are in kids' lives.

2. In the first 4 episodes all the families are religious as if religious people have a monopoly on good behavior.

3. These kids surprise me by complying with the rules. I would think they would tell these parents to F themselves.

4. In the first 4 episodes the strict families have adult children still living at home which surprises me. If they have been raised so under such wonderful parenting why do they still live at home? Why aren't they at college or living on their own?
