Age Difference Between the Fishers?

I don't want to upset anyone, but I do wonder how much of an age difference there is between the actors who portray Joyce and John Fisher? I am just now watching on Netflix, and was shocked to find he was her husband rather than her son.

My friend and I are watching Land Girls for the first time and thought the exact same thing!! Looks like the actor who played John was 27 at the time—we thought he looked ten years younger! We haven’t been able to find out the actress’s age though.
