Owl misreading C.R.'s note, and singing a song about it, a recycled plot
Pretty much the same thing happened in "Pooh's Grand Adventure" (1997). Lazy writing!

True. Also, POOH'S HEFFALUMP MOVIE copied a lot from PIGLET'S BIG MOVIE.
shareGood point. If these just came along in the theatres and that was it, it might make sense to recycle ideas for newer generations of kids. But we have DVD players!

Yep I agree this movie recycles everything that has happened in previous Winnie the Pooh movies
shareMilne only wrote two books, so it would be kinda hard to constantly come up with original material. That, and the fact that most Pooh fans would not tolerate something that was not essential to Pooh's stories. The tv show did a lot of that and it was okay, but most of the time, it felt strange seeing Pooh and his friends out of their element.
The real point being can we take this exact story and make it something original and fresh. I think Disney has achieved that with this film. The stories might be recycled, but they still have a classic feel and have been changed just enough to keep them on the modern side as well.
