Does anybody know if (and when) this will be released on blu-ray? I bought King Lear (Ian McKellan) as a regular DVD and then it was released as a blu-ray shortly afterwards. I don't really think I need to see Hamlet in blu-ray but if will be released that way then one should wait for it. So does anybody know if there are any plans for a blu-ray?

Can't wait to get my copy, it'll be nice to see David Tennant in something other then Doctor Who.
Although in all honesty, this is just holding me over until Kenneth Brannagh's version is on BD in August. :o
"hrafn1," given that you posted in December, I'm guessing that you might be in the UK, because the film didn't air in the States until just last week. If you are in the UK, you probably already know this, but the Blu-Ray release is available from the BBC:

Kami, that's interesting news about the upcoming Blu-Ray release of Branagh's "Hamlet." I don't have B-R equipment yet but will certainly keep this in mind!
