I have just seen Streetdance
I have just seen a preview of this film and loved it. So Ok, it is not going to win any oscars for acting etc, but the dancing and soundtrack are amazing.

I have to agree with Blossoms on the soundtrack and the amazing dancing... but the generic storyline (no pun intended) and the lead females quite poor accent did bring the credibility on this film down a fair bit.
Some of the cast put in decent efforts on the acting front, but then with their roles it didnt require any great leaps on the front anyway (again no pun intended). But some of the cast almost appeared to be phoning it in while others put too much effort into it and came across quite poorly.
If you love a dance film this is as solid as any of them, and the 3d was a nice extra to the layering of the dancers positions, although seeing the trailer for step up 3d before it kind of showed how much further they will be taking it from this level...
5/10, it was entertaining to listen to and enjoy the dancing, but if you are looking for the characters and story to grab you in anyway you will be disappointed.

I've given up hope that there will be a Dance movie with a good storyline and acting. That said, the dance steps were tight ...big up to Flawless, number 1 Dance Crew.
