This was better than I thought

I rented this and it was better than I thought it was going to be. For a straight to DVD movie the acting in my opinion(especially from Scout) was pretty good. I thought that the sexual scenes were done tastefully and things were more implied than shown. It was hard though to sympathize for Nasty after she ran away with the guy(don't remember the name). It seemed to be a consensual relationship(even though she was only supposed to be 14). I mean I could sympathize with what happened to her with the creepy adopted father(he was a creepy *beep* but not what happened with the guy she ran off with.

Also it was good that Nasty(Scout was I guess 17 at the time )didn't look 14 because in my opinion if she looked young it would have been more uncomfortable to watch.

I thought it was going to be utter and complete crap, but it was far, far better than I thought it would be. It's an area and a side of pedophilia that has yet to be touched on.

I liked it. Scout's mature looks is representative of a lot of girls. I don't know if it's the clothes, the makeup or the mentality but a lot of 14yr old girls DO NOT look 14.

it says this came out in 2009 so Scout had to be in between 18 and 20 during shooting cuz she is turning 21 this month.. but it was weird that it didnt show her and Matt actually kissing.. ya he is older but she is still legal and the movie was rated R so i think if they were gonna go all out they could have at least made it believable...

also.. i have seen this movie about 3 or 4 times and i really like it and i really enjoy watching it.. Scout is one of my favorite actors ever! and i liked seeing her in something not so mainstream.. shows she can play different roles :)
