It's supposed to be 89 and bones looks like Justin bieber. The hair stylist should be fired !

Excellent point. I was a teen in the 80's. I don't remember a hairstyle quite like that in or around 1989. Now his friend's (Derrick?) hairstyle is spot on. My boyfriend back then had the same lol. This was right around the time that the big-haired 80's heavy metal (which I LOVE to this day) was just beginning to fade out and grunge was beginning to take hold.

Wel I'm glad I'm not the only person that saw that, this is my era. All though I didn't have the big hair, just the long hair, me and all my friends didn't have any sort of style just hair to your ass. It was great to see zack in the movie \,,/ \,,/
