They are...well...the inspiration for the series in the first place and well worth stepping over the divide π

I've read a few complaints that the tv show isn't enough like the comics but people should get over themselves.

Might I then suggest the lesser of two evils and you grabbing a program called Comicbook Reader and I'll point out how you can access the comics via means which will not cost you any money.
I am absolutely certain that after reading you'll want to use Amazon or someone else to have physical copies of your own.
I've leant people my books in the past and they've always bought a copy for themselves in the past - that's how good they are π

Tulip looks different (And personally I think the blonde bimbo trailer trash thing works well in the comic but she's transitioned onto the show perfectly).
I rarely recommended comic books to people who aren't into them already but Preacher is such a good series of books its so well worth stepping into the void (I'll recommend others once you have though π)
I'm not averse to them,I own a couple of 30 days of Night,the Shutter Island graphic novel and I really want to get hold of the Penny Dreadful follow up comics.

It's a nice way of going from movie to comic but there are many good stories which never make it to movie (For whatever reasons).
The point is there are some ridiculously great stories which exist in the comic book format which should get a better readership. Especially in this day and age of people reading their phones whilst in transit or on their breaks.
It's not all pretty though, but neither is life I suppose!
