game didnt save progress

I finally got around to this game in my stack of 360 games, I made it far enough to unlock the Kizingo Boulevard achievement, I left the game an installed the new 360 dashboard from USB. I go back in to the game an load but it starts me at beginning crash point I check an it doesnt have a "save file" for the game, I look in the Campaign Lobby an see the Kizingo Boulevard level to replay so i'm gonna play it again an hopefully it will let me continue normally from there an not just take back in to the lobby. Thought it was from the update but my other save files are still intact.
