Can I play the digital download on my tv?

I'm planning on getting this film from the website. I've never downloaded a film outside of iTunes. Does anyone know what format it is in? Can I play it on my itunes (I have apple tv, so this means I could watch it on my tv).

If anyone knows I'd appreciate the help. The All In website doesn't have any information.
