I Play Texas Hold'em

Listen I hate movies about poker, I thought Rounders was good because there was a good story. But when Matt Damon says " I hate when people call it luck " he is wrong, poker is 50% SKILL 50% LUCK, if the cards do not fall your way your not winning.

If you really do play, you know that it's mostly skill. It's certainly not 50/50. If you really believe that it's 50/50, then I'm sure the other players enjoy taking your money. The cards do NOT have to "fall your way" in order to win. Anyone with the most rudimentary poker skill knows this.

It's relative.

The more you play, the less luck is involved.

If you play only 1000 hands against playesr that are worse than you, there's still a good chance that you will be unlucky and lose money.

Now if you play 100000 hands against the same player, it's extremely unlikely that you will end up losing, considering of course that you're are the best player

The best player always have a positive Expected Value and in an infinite number of hands he'll be always the long term winner.

The above post is 100% accurate.
The luck factor diminishes over the long term, and that is a fact.

I have played poker for almost 20 years now, and there is much more skill than luck. This is easy to see by noting that often times you see the same regular faces at final tables. Even ?luck? in hold'em only helps if you have the skill to take advantage of it. Now ?luck? is what I need to see if I get any of my money back from fulltilt in the class action.
