very entertaining

I watched this yesterday and I have to it's very entertaining. The Machinima Series uses the video game assets to create a movie. If you have played the game, you'll definitely remember some of the levels shown.

The action is intense and entertaining. The T-600's and HK's certainly do shine and with the good sound effects, the T-600's are really intimidating.

The plot is pretty good and we learn more about Blair Williams who was the main female lead in Terminator Salvation.

There's only 6 episodes and I didn't time each episode but the episodes are rather short. I really recommend this only for Terminator fans tho.

7.5/10
I would this give an 8/10 only if it was longer.

Does it take place before, during, or after Terminator Salvation?

It's set before Salvation, I believe in 2015 or 2016. For all intents and purposes, it's a prequel-spinoff with Blair as the main character, as John Connor doesn't appear (only getting a bookend reference). It's a pretty neat loose bridging between the end of T3 and where Salvation begins, mainly in showing the horrific condition the humans are going through. It's also a fantastic exploration into the character of Blair and why she's more than just a "stone cold, grim faced" resistance fighter in Salvation, pretty much being her origin story. Like the Terminator movies and series, it's also primarily set in Los Angeles.

Any Buffyverse comic that's post-"Not Fade Away" is non-canon, my PoV says.
