Chris Rock in interviews seems puzzled that his films don't usually do well -
my suggestion was that if he watched Alphonso McAuley in this movie he would
understand why since Alphonso seemed to be doing a Chris Rock impression and
it goes over like a lead balloon. Comprende?

Man, you echoed my sentiments exactly. I had to pause in the middle of the movie to find out who this clown was. Cringe-worthy overacting and bad delivery / timing. I guess the casting folks were going for that sort of thing.
LOL it's pretty bloody obvious that the guy in this film sounds just like Chris Rock. IF you didn't see his face and someone played some audio you'd say oh that's Chris Rock.
