Pleasantly surprised

I'll admit when it comes to Mr. Snipes, I'll buy any movie w/which he's involved. I really enjoy the stories, and characters, as he envisions them. Too bad the usually small glimpses to be had of his vision are only through the characters he's playing. Even still, he's a thing of beauty when he's in his element. As in this movie.
When it comes to action sequences the man has no equal. Budget be damned, you put this man in front of a camera for action and you get your money's worth.
The cast was superb. I don't know how people are saying this was a no-name production. I guess they were looking for "Stars". This movie is chock-full of brilliant character actors, which I generally prefer to the other. The only substantial qualm I have with this flick is the use, or lack thereof, of Zoe Bell. With her résumé she should have been right up there with Wesley for action/fight scenes. She was woefully under utilized here. After 'Kill Bill' I was really looking forward to a hand-to-hand scene between her and Wesley.
I'm sorry Wesley is gonna be locked up for a while, but I'll be glad when he's got this crap firmly behind him so he can work again with people who really know how best to let him shine.

THINK....It's not illegal YET!

I agree. It was clearly a lower budgeted film than Wesley Snipes' other projects , but I really enjoyed this movie. It was tightly directed and the story moved at a nice clip. I've seen many big budgeted movies that were no where near as engaging as "Game of Death".
