The priest points out the obvious

Rosario treats her daughter like sh*t and finally someone called her on it. The priest pointed out that her behavior towards her daughter is not the result of what happened with the baby nor Cesar (by the way, I could not stand him). This is something that has been going on for a while. She neither denied nor accepted this, but I was hoping she would shed some light on why she dislikes her daughter so much. I guess we'll have to wait.

I guess so, but we will probably find out shortly, since Lucrezia will be 18 or 19 in Monday's episode.

Why did you not like Cesar?

It bothered me that he called Manuel a dog. When he was supposed to apologize to Manuel, he ended up insulting him again. This turned me off completely to him. I don't know if he was aware of the fact that their parents favored him, but he struck me as someone that would have ended up using this to his advantage once he became an adult. Rosario would never have believed Lucrecia over Cesar and he would have eventually used this against Lucrecia.

He always wanted to know or do things with Lucrecia and she caved in to him. I know this is a normal thing among siblings but I feel he would have caused trouble for her. I may be wrong, but it is the impression I had of him from the very beginning.

That bothered me, too. Before I realized that Cesar and Lucrezia were twins I put it down to immaturity, but now I realize that this was a symptom of Rosario's favoritism. She would have been teaching him that servants are not equal in the eyes of society -- or even God -- and he was following her teachings.

Lucrezia would have mostly been raised by Delphina, who is a mother in more than biology. She is a kind woman from whom Lucrezia would have learned respect for other people and the duty to protect someone weaker than herself.

Of course, I have also been contemplating your earlier theory that Lucrezia is not Rosario's child. Children switched at birth are nothing new in novelas and while it would probably be more difficult to switch a twin (even one that's obviously not identical) it would account for the height difference. I have never believed that personality is genetic, but sometimes these programs promote that idea. This obviously would open the issue of who actually gave birth to her and why the switch happened. There are no obvious candidates in sight and Lucrezia does look like the biological daughter of Paulino and Rosario.
