Rabbit question for an ace Trauma buff..
Anyone out there know what ethnicity Rabbit is meant to be in the show?
Mates and I couldn't quite pick it. Hawaiian maybe..?

Reuben Palchuck
Palchuck....sounds indian? Well guess it shouldn't matter, the actor is GREAT.
Agree w/ you 100% made me go seek out his other work. He's a truly versatile actor, and hopefully if the show doesn't pan out, it'll make the industry notice him.
shareI hypothesized the name Palchuck is either of Eastern European (ie, author Chuck Palahniuk) or Native American (Pilchuck river in Washington). The name Reuben, of biblical origin, has had at least one person guessing he has Jewish roots - which could reinforce the E. European origin theory. I guess we just have to wait and see.

When the show returns in March, one of the first episodes will be Rabbit-centic. In flashbacks we see the teenaged Reuben and his drunken father, who has armloads of Pacific Islander tattoos.

Am really impressed that someone has seen/leaked the tidbit about Rabbit and his (yes tattooed) father. Thank you for holding back the other very cool information about that episode.
As to the question of Rabbit's ethnicity. There's a hint in the script of "13." There's been a runner about "what are you?" between him and Marisa. His replies: "Not Mexican" and "Not coming."
Now, to finally answer the question. Rabbit's from the Pacific Northwest. His father is a Pacific Islander. His mother... Well that's for next season.
