Writer Randy Huggins needs love for NBC's 'Trauma'

The NBC emergency response series "Trauma" is on life support, and show writer and native Detroiter Randy Huggins is imploring local folks to tune in. The drama, which airs locally at 9 p.m. Mondays on WDIV-TV (Channel 4), recently received a reprieve from Peacock executives to finish its first season.
But if ratings don't improve, the show will not make it to a second.
"A little love for 'Trauma' would be greatly appreciated," said Huggins, who also wrote for CBS' "The Unit" and the Starz drama "Crash." Both shows are now off the air.
Huggins, 38, is a St. Martin de Porres High School grad (the Catholic school closed in 2005) and an alumnus of Grambling State University, a historic black college in Grambling, La. The next Huggins-penned episode of "Trauma" airs April 5.
