It's Sept 2016 - Where is Cake Boss?

I used to like Cake Boss because of the beautiful and/or interesting cakes. I don't remember seeing any new episodes last year which makes me wonder if it will be on this season.

I thought perhaps Mama passed away and that's why there were no episodes last year.

Has the show been cancelled?

It's had two(4 really) new episodes already. It's on Tuesday nights(1hr-2 episodes spliced together). They spend way to much time on non-cake stuff.
